The Detroit Lions bounced back from a miserable Week 1 performance with a blowout win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, and Jared Goff has an impressive new spot in the NFL record books following the offensive outburst.

Goff completed 23-of-28 passes for 334 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions as the Lions beat the Bears 52-21. The Lions scored seven total touchdowns after finding the end zone just once in their 27-13 season-opening loss to the Green Bay Packers.

The start was the fifth for Goff in his career where his team scored 50 or more points. As ESPN's Adam Schefter notes, Goff is now tied with Peyton Manning for the fourth-most starts with 50 or more points since 1950. The only quarterbacks ahead of Goff and Manning are Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Len Dawson.
