BATTLE CREEK - City bragging rights go back to Battle Creek Central after the Bearcats put together an impressive performance against their crosstown rival Lakeview.

Battle Creek Central defeated Lakeview 39-13 in this Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference high school football game on Friday, Sept. 12, as a young Bearcat offense grew up right before BCC fans.

BCC gets the win after suffering a heartbreaking loss to Lakeview last year that led to a 1-8 season for the Bearcats

It’s a new year and a new result.

"This means a lot. After losing to them last year, I got very emotional after that game. So to beat them this year, the way we did, it means a lot," said BCC quarterback Lee Campbell, Jr.
