Part 2 of my article about the Beatty House (see the Sept. 2nd edition of the Rimbey Review) dealt with the means by which the Committee (later the Society)

was able to pay the $65,000 required to purchase the Beatty House.

This article will continue on that subject.

The Provincial Government has played, and continues to play a significant role in the life of the House, for which our Board is very grateful.

Having been designated as a Provincial Historic Resource in 1991, Rimbey's Heritage House has since then been eligible for partial funding for major projects of conservation, such as the replacement of the roof, the painting of the exterior, and the upgrading of the foundation.
