CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) -- Bids were accepted by the West Virginia Division of Highways for the next part of the Coalfields Expressway.

According to a press release, one of the 28 construction projects that was a part of a West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) bid letting on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 was a project to build a three-mile connector road from WV 10 in Pineville to Twin Falls State Park.

The Coalfields Expressway is an important project for southern West Virginia. This section is especially important for Wyoming County and those who wish to visit Twin Falls State Park.
