BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - LSU Football Coach Brian Kelly confirmed the team’s starting quarterback is injured, but fans should not expect him to miss any action.

According to Coach Kelly, Garrett Nussmeier has been fighting through a torso injury, but he will have to keep grinding through it until at least the bye week, Oct. 4.

The coach said the injury occurred during fall camp, but it has not inhibited Nussmeier from throwing the ball deep down the field.

Kelly disclosed Nussmeier’s injury during his weekly news conference on Monday, Sept. 15.
