Financing for a Whiteland roundabout at Bob Glidden Boulevard and Whiteland Road is moving forward.
The Whiteland Town Council and Redevelopment Commission unanimously approved an up to $2.75 million bond to build a roundabout at Bob Glidden Boulevard and Whiteland Road that will help calm traffic for nearby businesses.
“We constantly get calls from the folks who work at Amazon and DHL. [Motorists are] going rogue and finding other ways to exit that area, so it’s becoming kind of a traffic hazard,” previously said Carmen Young, Whiteland’s director of administration.
The bond would be paid back over 10-12 years and include construction, artwork to enhance the roundabout as the town entrance and prevent motorists from driving over the structure, and Flock cameras to monitor traffic, Youn
