Oklahoma running back Tory Blaylock earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors after rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the Sooners’ 42-3 victory at Temple on Saturday in Philadelphia.

Career-First 100-Yard Game

Blaylock averaged 7.1 yards per carry on 14 attempts, scoring from 6 and 18 yards in the second quarter to help OU build a 25-0 lead. The Humble, Texas, native recorded his first career 100-yard rushing performance.

Big Plays Fuel Sooners’ Offense

His 14 carries were the most by an OU running back this season, highlighted by gains of 25, 18, 11 and 10 yards. The 25-yard run in the third quarter set up quarterback John Mateer’s 51-yard touchdown rush on the very next play.
