ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Cobb County inmate died Saturday while in the custody of the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said Kaleb Anderson, 40, died six days after being booked into the Cobb County Jail on charges of reckless conduct and second-degree cruelty to children.

According to the sheriff’s office, Anderson was receiving medical care at Kennestone Hospital for liver disease when he passed away.

The official cause of death has not been released at this time.
