ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Eight days after an attack on workers at a metro Atlanta Waffle House, all three suspects have been arrested.
Sam Jakobeit, the mother of one of the victims, said when she got a call at 2 a.m., she knew something bad had happened.
“It’s like unreal to me,” said Jakobeit, whose son was attacked while working overnight at the Sandy Plains Marietta Waffle House.
Jakobeit said he is recovering and still hasn’t been back to work.
“He has torn muscles. He was concussed. He had cuts from where they hit him. The skin split on his forehead,” Jakobeit said.
Jakobeit said her son has worked at the restaurant for almost a year, working the overnight shift so he could take welding classes by day. He never had an issue until Sept. 7, when a group of rowdy teenage
