CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The United Way of Southeast Missouri received a $250,000 grant to launch a regional childcare resource center.

According to the United Way, the Americorps grant will help open a regional hub dedicated to “strengthening childcare access and support for families across Southeast Missouri.”

While not providing childcare directly, they say the center will bring more childcare options and help families with subsidies, find reliable placement and connect services so parents can enter or remain in the workforce.
