MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A Hernando city alderman wants to rename a street for slain conservative leader Charlie Kirk.

Monday, Alderman Kit Kitchens announced he will introduce a motion at the Hernando Board of Aldermen meeting on Tuesday night to honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk by renaming a city street in his memory.

Kirk was assassinated last week while speaking at a Utah College. Tyler Robinson, 22, of Utah, was arrested and charged in the shooting.
