DULUTH — Candidates for the open at large seats on the Duluth City Council met at a forum Monday to share their positions ahead of the Nov. 4 election.
Two of the race’s four candidates — Asher Estrin-Haire, Jordon Johnson, Derek Medved and incumbent Terese Tomanek — will be elected to the open at large seats in the general election.
Estrin-Haire, the owner of Stitch Craft Quilt Factory in the Lakeside neighborhood, did not participate in the forum and cited a work conflict.
Johnson, of downtown Duluth, is the associate director of the American Indian Community Housing Organization, a board member at the Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment and a former executive director of Life House.
