FREEBORN COUNTY, Minn. (KIMT) - Nearly half a dozen children and one adult are being treated at Mayo Clinic in Austin after two school buses crashed in Oakland Township, Monday.

In a press release, the Freeborn County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a multi-vehicle crash at 890th Ave. and 170th Street, just before 4 p.m.

When law enforcement arrived, a Glenville-Emmons School Bus could be seen in a northeast ditch facing southbound while a Palmer Bus Company vehicle from Austin was observed facing northeast at the intersection.

According to the sheriff's office, the Glenville-Emmons School Bus driven by Charles Trost, 74, of Albert Lea was traveling east along 170th Street when the Palmer School Bus didn't yield at 890th Avenue.
