LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Sunday’s Racing Louisville FC game at Seattle Reign FC was abandoned after a Racing player suffered a medical emergency.

Savannah DeMelo was hurt during the end of the first half. She received immediate on-field care from medical personnel, was stable and alert after the incident. She was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.

As of Monday evening, DeMelo is awake and in good spirits at a local hospital, according to a press release. She is undergoing tests to determine what happened Sunday.
