SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Get ready for whimsy, wonder, and a whole lot of wings—monarch butterflies are set to take flight in Downtown Springdale.

The Monarch Flight Festival returns this Saturday, September 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., now taking place at the newly remodeled Luther George Park.

Organizers say the event is a chance for families and community partners to come together in celebration of the monarch butterfly and its migration from Canada to Mexico. The festival also shines a spotlight on environmental education, community engagement, and the importance of protecting pollinators and local ecosystems.
