KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - We have a traffic alert for drivers who use Jefferson Road where it connects with the Kanawha Turnpike.

Nighttime closures will take place for the new Jefferson Road roundabouts, as well as some of the ramps connecting to the Kanawha Turnpike.

That is due to a nighttime paving project.

The closures will take place from 8 at night to 6 in the morning to try to limit the impact of daytime traffic.

If you’re driving in the area during that time, you can expect some detours. Jefferson Road and the new bridge will remain open.
