LANSING, MI –– Hundreds gathered on the Capitol steps on Monday, Sept. 15, to memorialize the life of conservative influencer and CEO of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk.

Kirk was shot and killed while speaking during a debate hosted by his organization, Turning Point USA, Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Utah Valley University. He was 31.

The “Calling All Patriots” rally was organized by Michigan’s GOP and started around 4 p.m. on the Capitol’s east lawn and steps, 100 S. Capitol Ave. in Lansing.

Several speakers, ranging from lawmakers to student activists, reflected on how they remembered Kirk.
