Armed police have been deployed as part of a massive security operation for the visit of Donald Trump. The US president will arrive today (Tuesday, September 16) to make an unprecedented second visit to the UK.
He comes at a time when tensions are high. Not only are thousands of protesters expected to turn out to greet him, but there is an increased focus on security following the assassination of right-wing political commentator Charlie Kirk.
