LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A case of West Nile Virus has been found in a Lexington resident.
The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department reports that the resident lives in the 40505 ZIP code area.
The Lexington Fayette County Health department is now firing up the mosquito truck.
“We were notified yesterday that we had a human West Nile case here in the county,” shared Luke Mathis, Environmental Health Supervisor.
From 3am to 6am tomorrow morning these trucks will spray the 40502 and 40505 zip codes.
“The areas that we are spraying are areas that the patient lives in...most people if they actually are infected with West Nile actually won’t show any symptoms,” says Mathis.
