One of the victims of a shooting Sept. 11 in Port Huron has been released from the hospital.

Port Huron Assistant Police Chief Jeremy Young confirmed Tuesday, Sept. 16 the 13-year-old boy who was shot and injured has been released. The other surviving victim, a 12-year-old girl, remains in stable condition. The two were transported to an unspecified hospital in Detroit following the shooting.

Both victims were injured in a shooting at their home that also resulted in the death of their 17-year-old brother. A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise funds to help cover the family's hospital and funeral bills. The page stated the 12-year-old girl was reportedly paralyzed from the shoulders down due to her injuries.

Jeffery Smerer, the father of the victims, is expected to be arraigned today
