LUBBOCK, Texas — When Abbie Espinoza founded 806 Running Girlz, her vision was simple: to create a safe and uplifting space for women to come together, move their bodies, and build confidence.

The Lubbock all-women’s running club has become a force for empowerment and community in Lubbock and during Hispanic Heritage Month, its mission carries special meaning.
