GRAND RAPIDS, MI – After grabbing a bite to eat, a woman was approached by a bicyclist holding an air horn as she waited to turn onto a busy street.
The encounter, though brief, ended badly. Footage of the altercation was captured on a cell phone.
The bicyclist, 30-year-old Travis Michael Bonn, allegedly called the Black woman a racial slur and blew the air horn in her face before riding off.
Wyoming police arrested Bonn hours later. He was charged with a hate crime, and his case is pending in Kent County Circuit Court.
