CONNECTICUT (WTNH) — The State of Connecticut released an audit on Wednesday, Sept. 10, showing that private providers of special education did not fully deliver the required services, and showed deficiencies that threatened the quality and safety of learning for children during the 2022-23 school year.
The document shows that private providers of special education did not fully deliver the required services for individualized education programs (IEPs) and exhibited instances of noncompliance with laws and regulations.
"Our audit identified... a need for improvement in practices and procedures that warrant management's attention," it states in the introduction from the state auditor.
The audit report examines evaluations among five private special education providers in Connecticut: Äde
