As Chattanooga welcomes international talent for the IBMA World of Bluegrass Festival , one talented performer comes from just eight miles away.
Randy Steele , who retired as a captain from the Chattanooga Fire Department earlier this year, will perform throughout the week with his band, High Cold Wind .
“Bluegrass just showed up everywhere, all over the place, for this whole week, so let’s bathe in it and enjoy it," Steele said. “If you’ve ever had any inclination to listen to it or you’ve ever been curious at all, this is a great time to find out.”
Presented in coordination with the Chattanooga Tourism Co., the festival includes a business conference and shows at venues around the city, Tuesday through Thursday. Actor and Grammy-winning banjo player Steve Martin will co
