EVANSVILLE – A former Evansville banker has been sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to stealing more than $150,000 from customer accounts between 2023 and 2024.

Dekoda S. Clark was sentenced in U.S. District Court earlier this month. According to the judgement handed down by Richard L. Young on Sept. 5, he'll also be required to repay the full $158,208.53 prosecutors say he stole both through withdrawing funds from customers' checking counts without their knowledge and creating debit cards under their names.

He'd faced one count of bank theft and another of access device fraud. Both offenses allegedly took place between October 2023 and March 2024. Prosecutors filed the charges in May.
