FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Homelessness in Fort Wayne is at the center of a city-wide debate, elected officials weigh how to address growing encampments across the city.
But while city leaders roll out plans, people like Keith Cuci are living the reality every day.
“It’s a struggle I mean dragging my stuff around from place to place, finding the best place to eat.” Keith Cuci.
Cuci estimates more than 150 people are living outside in tents or makeshift shelters across Fort Wayne and nearby neighborhoods.
For him, homelessness has been his reality for just over a year. Once a chef in New Jersey for more than a decade, Cuci moved to Fort Wayne with his family.
Cuci says he struggled to find stable work after his family split.
“I’m trying to make people understand what’s going on out he
