NELIGH, Neb. (KOLN) - Since 1952, people have been rolling up the the TK/Starlite Drive-In to watch movies under the same sky in Neligh.

“This is something you can’t do at a movie theater,” said Madison Metchske, community member and drive-in employee. “You get to play outside, run out all your energy and then enjoy a movie under the stars. It’s beautiful.”

The owner Stacy Klabenes has fond memories taking his kids to the drive-in.

“I got in touch with the guy from Florida that used to own it,” Stacy said. “He was going to close it, so we bought the downtown theater and the drive-in at the same time. And since then, we’ve gotten rid of the downtown theater.”
