NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Tennessee State University is on high alert after officials say a former student issued threats against the school.

According to a campus-wide notification issued Monday night, Quinn Maria USA was accused of making threatening statements to the president’s office.

The notification also said USA made demands to close the university, and claimed to have a bomb.

These actions prompted TSU to contact Metro Police and the FBI, who reportedly swept the buildings for explosives.
