A 21-year-old woman will face court after allegedly threatening and assaulting an older woman outside a restaurant in Sydney’s CBD.

Police were informed on Saturday of an alleged assault outside a restaurant in Capital Square on George Street.

Just before midnight last Friday, a 33-year-old woman was allegedly verbally abused by an unknown woman while in the restaurant.

The victim then left the venue and was threatened and assaulted by the same woman, police allege.

Police were told the woman had been scratched several times in the face and suffered injuries to her arms and legs.

“Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command immediately commenced an investigation into the incident,” a police statement read.
