An area of low pressure continues to drift meander near Richmond, Virginia, today. On the north side of this system, gloomy conditions and scattered rain remain likely, ahead of a clearer and warmer weather to end the workweek across central Maryland.
Scattered showers continue across Maryland Wednesday
Waves of scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast, heading into the afternoon hours. Rain may be heavy at times, especially west of the immediate Baltimore metro Wednesday afternoon.
Outside of true showers and storms, drizzle is also expected. Temperatures remain unusually cool through the day; generally staying in the 60s. Breezy winds will continue, as well. Wind will occasionally gust up to 30 MPH near the bay, 15-25 MPH elsewhere.
Sunshine returns Thursday afternoon
