STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office says distracting driving may have been a factor in a crash that left a motorcyclist in critical condition on Tuesday night.

Police say a car and a motorcycle crashed just after 10 p.m. at the intersection of SR 127 and CR 400 N on the county’s north side.

Officers say a car driven by an 18-year-old Fremont woman was stopped at CR 400 N and SR 127, facing east, as a motorcycle driven by a 26-year-old Coldwater, Michigan, woman approached the intersection.

Witnesses say the driver of the car did not see the oncoming motorcycle and pulled out in front of it. The two collided in the intersection, and the motorcyclist was thrown from her bike.
