MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mobile police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 2900 block of Brewton Avenue.

According to a Mobile Police Department release, officers responded to Brewton Avenue on Thursday at around 3:17 p.m.

Officers found both a male and a female victim, who are reportedly in a romantic relationship, who had sustained gunshot wounds.

Officials on the scene said the man was shot in the lower leg and the woman was shot in the lower knee.

They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they believe the shooting was a drive-by involving a white pickup truck.

The couple was walking into a home when they were shot from behind, according to officials.
