CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - It’s been a violent past couple of days in Charlotte.
On Thursday, Sept. 18, a man was killed in Uptown . On Wednesday, Sept. 17, a 4-year-old boy was fatally shot inside his home.
“It’s senseless,” said resident Mike Johnson. “A lot of stuff is going on.”
On Wednesday morning, 4-year-old Jayce Edwards was shot and killed in Steele Creek. It hits home for Joseph Wilson, a father to a young boy.
“That’s just ridiculous, to try to steal a car, and then to fire a bullet, especially at a 4-year-old,” said Wilson.
Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee , was fatally stabbed on the light rail in August. Her plight is making national headlines.
“It’s been a crazy last month or so,” said Wilson.
