HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (WBTV) - A person was hospitalized after a rollover crash on Interstate 77 in Huntersville on Thursday afternoon.

The wreck reportedly happened just before 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, along I-77 north of Hambright Road.

Fire officials said that a vehicle involved in the collision rolled over off the interstate, and one person was ejected.

Medic reported that they took one patient to the hospital with “life-threatening injuries” while crews operated the scene of the wreck for about 25 minutes.

It was not made immediately clear what led up to the crash, if any other cars were involved, or if any charges have been/will be filed.
