OSKALOOSA, Iowa — A former teacher in Oskaloosa is suing the school district following his termination over a social media post.
Matthew Kargol was placed on leave after sharing a post online in response to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The post read, "One Nazi down."
The school board voted to terminate Kargol after a recommendation from the district superintendent, who stated the decision aligned with district policy and Iowa code.
The district emphasized its commitment to a safe and healthy learning environment for students but declined to comment further on the matter.
