[DUBUQUE, Iowa] — Former Iowa Republican Congressman Rod Blum has announced his candidacy to represent Iowa's Second Congressional District. Blum previously served in Congress from 2015 to 2018.

Current seat holder Ashley Hinson is running for the U.S. Senate.

Blum recently participated in the Iowa Leadership Committee during President Trump's campaign for president.

"Representing the voters of Eastern Iowa in Congress was the honor of my lifetime, and I am ready to serve them again," Blum said.
