[CEDAR FALLS, Iowa] — The Iowa Board of Regents has approved the construction of a new center at the University of Northern Iowa. This center will honor Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, a UNI alum.
Plans for the center were discussed by the Iowa Board of Regents. It is intended to serve as a hub for students studying democratic governance.
The university aims to house official papers from Sen. Grassley in the new center. Grassley has already donated many papers from his time in the state legislature and U.S. House to UNI.
He also plans to donate his papers from the U.S. Senate once he retires.
