Gilbert Fire and Rescue is now accepting applications for paramedics and emergency medical technicians.

To be considered, applicants must meet minimum qualifications and complete the two-step application process: apply to the Town of Gilbert and Public Safety Answers.

Applications close Sept. 28.

Minimum qualifications

Below is a list of requirements applicants need to have prior to applying for an EMT or paramedic position.

Transportation paramedic

High school diploma or GED;

Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire;

To be eligible, incumbents cannot be on the Office of Inspector General (OIG) list of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE);

Valid Arizona Driver's License by hire date;

Possess a current Arizona Emergency Paramedic Certification or National Registry Para
