Saint Ansgar 27, Newman Catholic 6

Lighting and heavy rain stopped the game about 40 minutes into the action but the Saints were able to get the win after both teams came to an agreement to stop playing due to the inclement weather. In the first part of the game, Saint Ansgar’s Korben Michels had a 45-yard touchdown, Connor Mullenbach blasted through the end zone and Trey Johanns had a 58-yard pick six to get the job done for the Saints. Michels also had an interception in the win.

Clear Lake 21, Nevada 14

The No. 2 ranked Clear Lake Lions got the job done again. They defeated No. 4 Nevada in an outstanding contest on Friday night. They were able to secure the win when quarterback Jaxson McIntire rushed for a 20-yard touchdown with two minutes remaining in the game.
