Queens, NY – A 33-year-old man was ambushed in broad daylight Friday morning in front of 139-27 Queens Boulevard, where three masked suspects robbed him of thousands in cash and valuables before fleeing, police said.

At around 10:15 a.m., two men jumped out of a white Honda Accord with Massachusetts license plate #2RHH48 while a third suspect stayed behind the wheel. Approaching the victim from behind, one suspect brandished a firearm while the other put the man in a chokehold, forcing him to the ground.

The thieves ripped a chain from the victim’s neck, stripped off a bracelet, swiped his wallet with credit and debit cards, grabbed his eyeglasses, and took roughly $2,500 in cash, according to investigators.

The trio then bolted southbound on Queens Boulevard. No injuries were reported
