Trenton, NJ – A handwritten note left on a campaign mailer has become a symbol in New Jersey’s heated governor’s race after GOP candidate Jack Ciattarelli shared it online, highlighting voter frustration with the state’s high property taxes.

The note, written on a pink sticky pad and addressed to “Jack,” tells Ciattarelli the writer has “no money to donate” due to “high property taxes” under Gov. Phil Murphy and Democrats. The voter pledged, however, to support Ciattarelli at the ballot box in November.

“Notes like this remind me why I’m running,” Ciattarelli posted on X, formerly Twitter. “Eight years of failed policies and more than 25 years of one-party rule have made New Jersey completely unaffordable for too many.”
