JAMESTOWN — Grass fields and lots of rain don't mix well.

That's why the Jamestown High School soccer team wasn't at Rotary Field on Saturday.

"It was raining all day Thursday, all day Friday, that meant that no one could get over the field to paint lines or mow — we probably could have made it work but we're comfortable on turf, we train over here and most of our games are played on turf so the switch was fine," JHS head coach Brandi Harty said.

The change worked in their favor.

Jamestown's first-ever game at Erstad Turf Field was a 1-0 win against Williston. The win is the Jays' third-straight. Jamestown's record now stands at 5-5-1. Harty and her team will be back in action on Tuesday at Bismarck Legacy beginning at 7:30 p.m.
