“Take me out to the ball game, take me out with the crowd; Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks, I don’t care if I never get back!” You may recognize those words as the lyrics from a song celebrating “America’s game” – baseball – written in 1908 by two guys who had never attended a baseball game. Now the game is on television, in your city’s ball parks, and at your local high school stadium. Enterprise High School baseball coach Marty Loveridge spoke recently to the Enterprise Lions Club about his career in baseball and his hopes for this year’s team.
