UNC football hasn't been this bad in two games against Power 4 opponents since 2006.
Following a 34-9 loss at UCF in Week 4 , the Tar Heels (2-2) have been throttled in each of their two matchups against major-conference foes to kick off the Bill Belichick era. UNC, which lost 48-14 vs. TCU in its season opener, has been outscored 82-23 in its two losses.
That 59-point margin is the Tar Heels' worst two-game stretch against Power 4 teams since losing to Clemson and Miami by a combined 65 points in 2006, a year that ended with UNC posting a 3-9 record in its final season under John Bunting. The Heels lost seven games in a row that year.
