OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) -- One of the largest Alzheimer's awareness and fundraising events was held in Owensboro on Saturday.
The Owensboro Walk to End Alzheimer's brought the community together to unite in the fight against the disease.
The walk kicked off at Smother's Park.
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive brain disorder that causes memory loss, confusion, and other cognitive decline.
More than $55,000 was raised from the walk. Donations are still being taken.
