COLUMBUS, Ohio — A bicyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle Saturday evening in the University District, Columbus police said.
Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called just before 7:50 p.m. to the 100 block of West Lane Avenue on a report of a pedestrian struck. Police later told 10TV that the crash involved a bicycle and a car.
Police said the pedestrian was taken to Wexner Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene.
Details about what led to the crash were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
