BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - One of those running in the marathon on Saturday has a long history with the race, three decades long.
Ross Tolstedt likes to run.
“I’m gonna keep on doing it until I can’t do it anymore,” said Tolstedt.
In fact, this is his 35th year participating in the Bismarck Marathon. He says he likes to do it to stay in shape over the winter. He makes steps weekly with a running group.
The 65-year-old hopes his footwork will keep him feeling younger.
This year, he finished in 4 hours and 40 minutes.
“It’s a good community he has with his running group that he runs with every Saturday morning,” said Krista Mark, his daughter. “Friends, he brings them a level of joy that he just loves.”
He has participated in 50 marathons total.
