Two children have been killed in a wreck in Pike County that left three other people hurt.
Alabama State Troopers say the wreck happened at about 5:20 this morning on Alabama Highway 167, about nine miles south of Troy.
State troopers say a two-year-old and a five-year-old were both killed when the small SUV they were riding in was involved in a crash with a pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old. Their names haven’t been released.
The driver of the SUV, 37-year-old Charles Holmes, Jr., of Geneva, was injured and taken to Troy Regional Medical Center for treatment. A 6-year-old and 10-year-old, who were also in the SUV, were als0 injured and taken to a hospital.
State troopers are still investigating what led to the crash.
