TROUTDALE Ore. (KPTV) - A driver is dead after crashing into a car parked in a driveway in Troutdale on Saturday evening, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

Just after 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a serious crash at the 2700 block of Southeast Troutdale Road involving two cars.

Officers determined that a car heading south on Troutdale Road crashed into a car that was parked in a driveway. There were people inside the parked car.

The driver died at the scene, but the people inside the parked car were not hurt.

Southeast Troutdale Road will be closed from Southeast Strebin Road to Southeast Division Drive for several hours while officers investigate the crash.
