Scientists revealed they have discovered the world’s oldest known mummies .

A new study published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Science on Sept. 15 states that researchers found “smoke-dried” mummies between 4,000 to 12,000 years old in various sites across Southeast Asia and China.
